The Center for Advanced Vein Treatment & Women's Healthcare was created to offer prevention and treatment of women's healthcare issues in Gynecology, and to address the often neglected, yet growing, concerns of venous disease.
Dr. David C. McCarus has been practicing in Towson , Maryland since 1983. He received his undergraduate and medical school degrees at West Virginia University . He received his post-graduate training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Greater Baltimore Medical Center and Johns Hopkins University Hospital in the Obstetrics and Gynecology residency programs. Dr. McCarus has been on the cutting edge of Gynecological technology and involved with teaching and preceptoring Operative Laparoscopic surgery. His interest in post-menopausal health and the prevention and treatment of osteoporosis has prompted him to lecture nationwide to promote education and the proactive screening and treatment of osteoporosis. Dr. McCarus also understands the need for concentrated study in the treatment of varicose veins and the symptoms of venous disease. Dr. McCarus is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and a member of the American College of Phlebology . To expand his understanding and pursue excellence in the evaluation and treatment of venous disease, he studied under Dr. Robert Min, the innovator of the new technique of treating symptomatic veins utilizing the EVLT procedure. Dr. McCarus is one of the few gynecologists that have become proficient in the minimally invasive treatment of varicose veins utilizing this procedure. Dr. McCarus treats patients with symptomatic varicose veins with this new endovascular approach at The Center for Advanced Vein Treatment & Women's Healthcare. Patients who have been under his care for over two decades have found comfort in being treated by a physician with whom they have developed a communicative and trusting relationship. He holds this trust with the greatest esteem and treats his patients with the highest standard of care and respect. |
